Okie Whitt Rife, age 73 of Hurley, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Born October 8, 1945 at Grundy, Virginia she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Jane Lester Whitt. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents: she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Rife; one son, Elvis Charles Rife; brothers, Cecil Whitt and Dennis Whitt; sister, Rosie Scarberry; and her special life long friend, Norma Jean Justus.

In accordance with Okie’s wishes, her body has been cremated, and a memorial service will he held on Saturday, April 27, 2019, 1:00 P.M., at the Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church on Guesses Fork, Hurley, Virginia, with Danny Hurley, Danny McCoy, and Larry Gibson officiating.
