Amie May Gibson, age 37 of Hurley, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy, Virginia.
Born May 14, 1985, in Grundy, Virginia, she was the daughter of Larry Gibson and Jeannette (Jenny) Crook Gibson of Hurley, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Joe Gibson and Frankie Gibson; one brother, Joshua Gibson; nieces, Arianna Nash-Cleek, Karmyn Nash-Cleek, and Erin Miller; uncles, Charlie Gibson, Tommy Gibson, and William Lee Hurley; aunts, Barbara Brinegar and Belinda Young; maternal grandparents, Ocie Belle Matney and Everette Crook; paternal grandparents, Dave and Dorcas Gibson.

Funeral services for Amie May Gibson will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, 12:00 Noon at the Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church, Old Guesses Fork Road, Hurley, Virginia, with Danny McCoy, Steve Baker, Jimmy Stacy, David Lester, Will Matney, Jerry Overstreet, Gary Estep, George Baker, Shannon McCoy, and Larry Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in the Matney Cemetery, Hope Road, Hurley, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening and Friday evening 6:00 P.M. at the church. A service will be held both Thursday and Friday evening at 7:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mikee Brown, Jim Gibson, Keith Justice, Rocky Justus,Timmy Lester, Jamie Lester, Jeff Justus, Tony Lester, Brett Stiltner, Ben Young, Michael McCoy, Tanner Justice, Rocky Lester, Martin McCoy, and Bradley Matney.
