Barbara Anne Smith Hartford, age 68 of Grundy, Virginia passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021.
Born April 1, 1953, in Grundy, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William Richmond Smith and Betty Sue Belcher Smith. She was a registered nurse working at Riverside Medical Clinic. Barbara was a member of the Grundy Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed riding horses with her granddaughter Taylor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Sue Hartford.

In accordance with Barbara’s wishes, her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia with Curtis Crouse officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service at 1:00 P.M.
