Obituary for Benny Justus

Benny Justus, age 59 of Hurley, Virginia, departed this life January 4, 2022, at the University of Kentucky Hospital after an extended illness.

Born May 9, 1962, at Grundy, Virginia, he was the son of the late Daniel Justus and Zella Mounts Justus.

Benny was a former coal truck driver, last working for Ancar Trucking. His most proud moment in his life was when he gave his life to the Lord, August 23, 2009, becoming a member of Ikes Fork Freewill Baptist Church, Ikes Fork, West Virginia.

Benny enjoyed chevy trucks, horse shows, watching westerns, riding side by sides, and telling stories of his youth. His greatest passion was spending time with his grandchildren and always making sure they knew how much he loved and adored them. He was patiently awaiting the arrival of his new grandson, to spoil and love, just as he had done the others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin D. Justus and Clifford Rife.
