Obituary for Brandon Scott Baldwin

Brandon Scott Baldwin, age 38 of Grundy, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

Born March 25, 1984, in Richlands, Virginia, he was the son of Rosemary Carter of Salem, Virginia, and the late Samuel Marcus Baldwin. Brandon was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and grandson. He loved music, making people laugh, and most of all he loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Baldwin; stepdad, Jim Penley; grandparents, Henry Nathan and Leah Vernie Baldwin, and Herman Matney.

He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, December 30, 2022, 6:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia. A service will be held at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral services for Brandon Scott Baldwin will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia, with Shea Shrader officiating. Burial will follow at the Anderson Cemetery, Leemaster Road, Vansant, Virginia.

Serving as pallbearers will be Nick Belcher, Shaiem Gordon, Greg Matney, Richie Rose, Tim Penley, Shannon Penley, Clayton Thomas, Derek Penley, Daniel Belcher, Jody Baldwin, Anthony Viers, Jon Brown and Eric Short.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kolton Baldwin, Malaki Gordon, Cody Rose, Jacob Rose, “Big” Jake Stacy, and Jake Stacy.
