Obituary for Dickie Joe Belcher
Dickie Joe Belcher, age 71 of Big Rock, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the Clinch Valley Medical Center, Richlands, Virginia, following a battle with cancer.
Born September 2, 1951, in Grundy, Virginia, he was the son of the late Edgar Belcher and Eula Wagner Belcher. He was a disabled coal miner. Dickie enjoyed talking with his friends on his CB Radio and riding his four wheeler. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Edgar Belcher; one sister, Retia Belcher Hardin; and one nephew, Steven Hardin.

In accordance with Dickie’s wishes, his body will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia, with family and friends officiating.
A special thank you to Dr. Clint Sutherland, Dr. Tadwadros, Dr. Brown, and the nurses and staff at Clinch Valley Medical Center for the excellent care they gave Dickie and to his Home Health nurses, Tara, Kelly, and Andera.
