Don Estep, age 75 of Grundy, Virginia passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at his home.

Born December 3, 1946, at Paynesville, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Dave Estep and Macie Cole Estep.

Don was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA Local Union 1509. He was a member of the Church of God. He enjoyed working on old vehicles, spending time by the fire with his family, and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Estep; and several half brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Don Estep will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia with C J Stacy, Eugene Whited, and Chad Estep officiating. Burial will follow in the Lester Cemetery, Cricket Road, Grundy, Virginia.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 6:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home. A service will be held at 7:00 P.M.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Jason Keene, Daniel Keene, Jacob Shelton, Jessie Bowman, Joey Davis, Chris Coleman, Ethan Davis, and Lukas Dotson.
