Sister Eleanor Alice Bennett, age 77 of Grundy, Virginia passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at her home.
Born December 15, 1945, in Grundy, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Mullins and Victoria Ward Mullins.
She was a member of the Slate Creek Primitive Baptist Church and was baptized November 19, 1974, by Elders Stuart Owens and Landon Coley. Sleep on sweet Mother, we will see you when the Lord sounds his sweet
trumpet, and we will all meet again.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Huston Bennett, Jr.; daughter, Cindy Renee Bennett; son, Jessie Chadwick Bennett; brothers, Henry Mullins, Teddy Mullins, Donald Mullins, Harold Mullins, Darrell Mullins, and Carl Roscoe Mullins; sisters, Norma Keen, Virginia Mullins, and Carma Ratliff.

Funeral services for Sister Eleanor Alice Bennett will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia, with Junior Davis, Blake Mullins, Elza Mullins, and Kenneth Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Melvin Mullins Cemetery, Osborne Branch Road, Grundy, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home, where a service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
