Eugene Childress, age 78 of Grundy, Virginia passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the Commonwealth Senior Living, Cedar Bluff, Virginia.

Born May 28, 1943 at Grundy, Virginia, he was the son of the late Lawson Childress and Beulah Ratliff Childress. He was a retired coal truck driver. Eugene was a member of the Vansant Church of Christ, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was veteran having served in the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Childress; daughter, Tina Perkins; and three brothers, Elmer, Doug, and Wayne Childress.
