Obituary for Fredith Evelyn Hurley
Fredith Evelyn Hurley, age 73 of Hurley, Virginia passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy, Virginia.
Born February 21, 1948, in Hurley, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Miles Hibbert Hurley and Ethel Dotson Hurley. She had been a member of the Elk Creek Freewill Baptist Church since June 3, 1973. Fredith was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her home, cooking, decorating, and spending time with her family. She was precise in all she accomplished. Her greatest joy were her two beautiful granddaughters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Marie Rife, Lillian Waldon, and Diane Dotson; brother, Dee Hurley.

Funeral services for Fredith Hurley will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia with Larry Rife, Hassell Rife, and Ervin Dotson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurley Family Cemetery, Elk Creek Road, Hurley, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening 6:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home. A service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
Serving as Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Thakkar and staff, Dr Tish Hilton, Dr. J G Patel, third floor and ICU Staff at Buchanan General Hospital.
