Obituary for Hibbert Kermit Blankenship
Hibbert Kermit Blankenship, age 84 of the Straight Fork Section of Grundy, Virginia passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy Virginia.
Born May 17, 1937, at Hurley, Virginia, he was the son of the late Arthur Blankenshipand Gracie Charles Blankenship. He was a retired coal miner and mower.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ada Elizabeth Blankenship and one niece, Donna Sue McClanahan Blankenship.

Funeral services for Hibbert Kermit Blankenship will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia with Bill Campbell, Billy Campbell, William McClanahan, Jerry Matney, and Rick Stacy officiating. Burial will follow in the Dave Charles Family Cemetery, Straight Fork Road, Grundy, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday evening 6:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home. A service will be held both Saturday and Sunday evening at 7:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
