Ida Mae Blankenship Lawson, age 68 of Grundy, Virginia passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022.
Born April 16, 1953, at Hurley, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Burl Blankenship and Gracie Jones Blankenship.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Ann Blankenship; two brothers, Franklin D. Blankenship and Shirley Love Blankenship; half sisters, Yuvon Roberts, Inis Blankenship; and half brother, Charlie Blankenship.

There will be a funeral service for Ida Mae Lawson on Saturday, April 2, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at the Blackey Baptist Church, Hurley, Virginia with Eugene Whited and Truitt Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow at the Lester Cemetery, Panther Ridge Road, Cricket Road, Grundy, Virginia.
There will be a service for Ida Mae Lawson on Friday, April 1, 2022, 7:00 P.M. at the Blackey Baptist Church, Hurley, Virginia. The family will receive friends at 6:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Justus, Steven Justus Jr., Harold Boyd, Ronald Junior Slone, Waylon Slone, Terry Wolford, Timmy Justus, family and friends.
