Obituary for Jerry Darrell Payne

Jerry Darrell Payne, age 66 of Paynesville, West Virginia passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Princeton Community Hospital, Princeton, West Virginia.

Born May 10, 1955, in Paynesville, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Roy Payne and Angeline Riffe Payne. He enjoyed riding horses, going to horse shows, and visiting family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his wife, Minnie Jean Thornsbury Payne; one grandson, Jarvis Braxton Payne; two brothers, Swanson Payne and Jarvis Payne; one brother-in-law, David Reed.

Funeral services for Jerry Darrell Payne will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, 12:00 Noon at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia with Fred Bailey, Danny Hurley, Steve Baker, and Gary Estep officiating. Burial will follow in the Perry Vance Cemetery, Perry Vance Road, Paynesville, West Virginia.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. prior to the funeral at 12:00 Noon.

Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
