Obituary for Jimmy Ronald "Ron" Bandy
Jimmy Ronald “Ron” Bandy, age 71 of Hurley, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy, Virginia.
Born March 21, 1951, at Wolford, Virginia, he was the son of the late Giles Bandy and Betty Sparks Bandy. He was a strip mine heavy equipment operator and electrician.
Ron enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and he liked spending time sitting on the porch of his old home place watching the deer and other animals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Wade Bandy; brothers, Jerry, J.E., Ray, Tom, and Latney Bandy; sisters, Juanita, Marie and Althea.

Funeral services for Jimmy Ronald “Ron” Bandy will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia, with Charlie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Bandy Family Cemetery, Coon Branch Road, Wolford, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel. A service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
