Joseph Michael Justus, age 70, of Grundy, Virginia, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy, Virginia.

Born November 7, 1951, at Grundy, Virginia, he was the son of the late Chaney Justus and Essie Ellen Stacy Justus. He was a retired coal miner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Ratliff Justus; one daughter, Betty Jo Vance; sisters, Betty Fern Hogston, Ann Vance, Della Bandy; and one brother, Jimmy Justus.

In accordance with Joseph Michael Justus’s wishes his body will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
