Juanita Matney Blankenship, Age 76 of Straight Fork Section of Grundy, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy, Virginia.
Born October 12, 1946, in Hurley, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Dave Matney and Vadie Justus Matney. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Blankenship; two sons, Gary Conley and Jerry Willis Blankenship, Jr.; sisters, Maggie Lockhart and Goldie Matney.

Funeral services for Juanita Matney Blankenship will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at the Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church, Hurley, Virginia, with Elders Larry Gibson, Danny Justus, Danny Hurley, Danny McCoy, Bill McCoy, and James Stacy officiating. All other Elders of the church are welcome to be a part of the service. Burial will follow in the Blankenship Cemetery, Straight Fork Road, Grundy, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening and Sunday evening, 6:00 P.M. at the church. A service will be held each evening at 7:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers will be Nephews and Trevor Blankenship, Chase Ramey, Christopher Catron, Robert Hipp, Collin Wolfrum, Devin Rife, Keith Justus, Dewayne Blankenship, and Ryan Sargent.
