Larry Eugene (Honcho) King, age 69 of Hurley, Virginia, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, at the Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy, Virginia.

Born July 3, 1953, at Hurley, Virginia, he was the son of the late Carl King and Pauline Christian King. He was a member of the Blackey Baptist Church, Hurley, Virginia.

Larry was a retired coal truck driver. He enjoyed mowing, cutting weeds, and working in his building on his many projects. He also enjoyed watching television and working crossword puzzles. Larry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Larry Nicholas King; one grandson, Ethan King; one brother, James King; and one sister, Regina King.

Funeral services for Larry Eugene (Honcho) King, will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia, with Eugene Whited and Truitt Blankenship officiating. Burial
will follow in the King Family Cemetery, Hiram Fork Road, Hurley, Virginia.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home. A service will be held at 7:00 P.M.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Davis, Brandon Davis, Bradley Davis, Mike Stacy, Mikey Stacy, Todd Justus, John Estep, Sam Dowdy, Wesley Stacy, Travis Matney, and Mason King.
