Obituary for Laura Belle Mullins Hicks
Laura Belle Mullins Hicks, age 68 of Paynesville, West Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky.
Born September 17, 1954, in Paynesville, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Mullins and Virgie Roberts Mullins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Greasy Creek Old Regular Baptist Church.
Laura Belle loved rejoicing in the Lord with her brothers and sisters in Christ. She loved spending time with her family and was always full of love and encouragement to them. Her smile could light up a room, and her light as a child of God will forever shine for those who were blessed to have known her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tracy Mullins, Gene Roberts; and one sister, Mae Owens.

Funeral services for Laura Belle Mullins Hicks will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, 10:00 A.M. at the Greasy Creek Old Regular Baptist Church, 1460 Greasy Creek Road, Shelbiana, Kentucky with Preston Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Woody Cemetery, 276 Jewell Ridge Road, Paynesville, West Virginia.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 15, 2023, starting at 4:00 P.M. at the church. The family will also receive friends Sunday evening, April 16, 2023, 4:00 P.M. at the church. A service will be held both Saturday and Sunday evening at 7:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers will be Shayne James, Joshua Hicks, Seth Weddington, Randall Gibson, Jr., Mitchell Gibson, and Ross Riley.
