Louie Owens Payne, age 70 of Grundy, Virginia passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2021, at Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy, Virginia.

Born June 29, 1951 at Paynesville, West Virginia, he was the son of the late George Payne and Roma Vance Payne. He was a retired coal truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jean Payne; one sister, Peggy Owens; grandparents, Martha and David D Vance, Hiley and Patty Payne.

Funeral services for Louie Owens Payne will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at the Bradshaw Mountain Community Church, Paynesville, West Virginia with Herman Day and Bob Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in the Vance Cemetery, Paynesville, West Virginia.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6 :00 P.M. at the church. There will be a Service at 7:00 P.M.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Gary Payne, Justin Vance, Dekota Dobbs, Tyler Payne, Don Dobbs, and Michael Hageman.

Virginia Funeral Home of Grundy, Virginia is in charge of the arrangements.
