Luther Adkins, Jr. age 62 of Raven, Virginia passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021, at his home.
Born January 21, 1959, at Grundy, Virginia, he was the son of the late Luther Elijah Adkins and Dora Davis Adkins. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Bertie McGlothlin, Ruby Charles, and Betty Sue Adkins; paternal grandmother, Lula Pearl Gross; nephew, James White.

Funeral services for Luther Adkins, Jr., will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia with Garnell Gilbert, Charlie Monk, and Jeremy Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Dawson Cemetery, Outback Road, Vansant, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Friday evening 6:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home. A service will be held at
7:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
