Obituary for Martha Jane Endicott

Martha Jane Endicott, age 86 of Telford, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Abundant Christian Living, Johnson City, Tennessee.

Born September 6, 1937, in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Alva Mullins and Rachel Viars Mullins.

Martha was a loving mother and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and taking care of her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Endicott; four brothers, Dewey Viars, Wesley Mullins, Matthew Mullins, and Lawrence Mullins; two sisters, Ida Jones and Margie Allen; three step-granddaughters, Sarah Deel, Tarah Deel, and Rachel Endicott.

Martha is survived by her children, Pam Hibbitts and husband Mark of Abingdon, Virginia, and Patty Gentry and husband Donny of Johnson City, Tennessee, as well as her stepchildren, Bobby Endicott of Bristol, Tennessee, Wendell Endicott and wife Christine of Bristol, Tennessee, Wilma Deel and husband Kenzie Ison of Vansant, Virginia, Roger Endicott and wife Sheri of Walterboro, South Carolina, and twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Martha Jane Endicott will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia with Curtis Crouse and Eugene Whited officiating. Burial will follow in the Stacy Cemetery, Grundy, Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 12:00 Noon prior to the funeral service at 1:00 P.M.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Abundant Christian Living, Ivy Hall Nursing Home, Caris Hospice, and Missy Kennedy who provided care to Martha in her final years.
