Melissa Ann McCoy Stiltner, age 44 of Hurley, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at her home with her husband, Roger Stiltner, and family and friends by her side.
Born April 8, 1978, in Grundy, Virginia, she was the daughter of Danny McCoy and Linda Redden McCoy of Hurley, Virginia.
Melissa was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church of Hurley, Virginia. She enjoyed arts and crafts, but most of all, she loved Roger and her children with all her heart.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ocie Bell Matney and Dorman Redden; paternal grandparents, Brooks and Berchie McCoy; one son, Roger Adam Stiltner, Jr.; daughter, Melinda Downs; one brother, Isac Lee McCoy; one uncle, Regis McCoy; and one cousin, Joshua Gibson.

Funeral services for Melissa Ann McCoy Stiltner will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, 12:00 Noon at the Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church, Hurley, Virginia with Elders, Larry Gibson, Danny Hurley, Roy Lester, Ordrey McCoy, Shannon McCoy and Bradley Matney officiating. Burial will follow in the McCoy Cemetery, Guesses Fork Road, Hurley, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Wednesday and Thursday evening, 6:00 P.M. at the church. A service will be held both Wednesday and Thursday evening, at 7:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers will be Stanley McCoy, Wesley McCoy, Joe Gibson, Frankie Gibson, Tony Lester, Martin McCoy, Chad Hurley, Scotty Hurley, Dylan Sullivan, Jeffery Justus, Steve McCoy, Joe Ramsey, Nelson Mullins, and Jake McCoy.
