Obituary for Quincy Belcher

Quincy Belcher, age 94 of Big Rock, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky.

Born November 8, 1928, at Big Rock, Virginia, he was the son of the late Will “Bird” Belcher and Lottie Taylor Belcher.

Quincy was a retired coal truck driver, retiring after 35 years. He was well known for working on small engines and keeping busy with his collection of cowbells. He never met a stranger, and he would work at the grease rack
for people for 50 years. He was of the Christian Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Irland , Hibert, Walter, and Edgar Belcher. Quincy was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:
His loving and caring Wife of 61 years, Maryetta Vanover Belcher of Big Rock, Virginia

David Belcher of Race Fork, Virginia

Two Grandchildren

Two Great-Grandchildren

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Joey Belcher of Ohio

He has a special cousin, Pamela Wolford, that visited often.

In accordance with Quincy’s wishes his body will be cremated. There will be no service or visitation.
