Obituary for Rayburn Stacy

Rayburn Stacy, 79 years of age of Wolford, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at his home.

Born March 1, 1943, in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Frank Giles Stacy and Lula Stacy Stacy.

He was a retired coal miner. Daddy was a man of God first, a great father, grandfather, and brother. He was a role model to all who knew him. It was a great honor to be a child and grandchild of Ray Stacy. No one will ever fill the shoes of our daddy or be able to repair the hole left in our hearts. We were all truly blessed to have Ray Stacy (our daddy) in our lives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ben and Sally Stacy; maternal grandparents, George and Lona Stacy; brother, Scottie Stacy; sisters, Shirley Stacy and Mervel Stacy; brother-in-law, Roger Lester; and special friend, Lou Spence.

Funeral services for Rayburn Stacy will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at the North Springs Old Regular Baptist Church, Wolford, Virginia with Elders of the old Regular Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Virginia.

The family will receive friends Thursday Evening, 6:00 P.M. at the church. A service will be held at 7:00 P.M.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Junior Stacy, Zac Stacy, Rocky Justus, Brody Ford, Andrew Ford, Mason Bryce Ford, Jay Tester, (Calvin) Kevin Meadows, and J. D. Coleman.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brothers of The Old Regular Baptist Church.
