Obituary for Roger Lee Fuller

Roger Lee Fuller, age 80, of Big Rock, Virginia passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Roger was born on March 20, 1942. He was the son of the late Lawson and Credie Helton Fuller of Big Rock, Virginia. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and a member of the Big Rock Church of God at Big Rock, Virginia. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, employed by the United Coal Company. He loved to fish, hang out with his friends, and have coffee with his friends, Brad and little Elsie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janice Ilene Elswick Fuller; one brother, Ersel (Ray) Fuller; and one niece, Tonya Fuller Ratliff.

Abigail Faith Blankenship Pouncey and husband Jacob of Huntsville, Alabama

McKenna Kaye Dixon of Dickson, Tennessee

One Sister
Mildred Hackney and husband Frank of Hurley, Virginia

He is also survived by one niece, Pam Gibson and one nephew, Mark Hackney.

A special thanks to his cousin, Pauline Rife for always being there for him.

Funeral services for Roger Lee Fuller will be conducted Saturday, September 17, 2022,
1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia. Burial will follow at the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, Virginia, with Pastors Denise and Wade McGeorge officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 16, 2022, at the Virginia Funeral Home, Grundy, Virginia at 6:00 P.M., where a service will be held at 7:00 P.M.

Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
