Rondal Dearl Charles, age 69, of Stone Coal, Grundy, Virginia, passed away at his home on Friday, November 4, 2022.

He was born on July 15, 1953, to the late Andy Charles and Marie Baldwin Charles of Grundy, Virginia. He loved working in the coal mines, working on old cars, and collecting old coins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Christopher Michael Charles and Anthony Charles; two brothers, Bobby Charles and Douglas Charles.

The funeral service for Rondal Dearl Charles will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia, with Gary Charles officiating. Burial will follow at the Charles Cemetery, Stone Coal Road, Grundy, Virginia. The family will receive friends after 12:00 Noon, prior to the service at 1:00 P.M.

Pallbearers include: Scotty Charles, Travis Mullins, JD Baker, Ned Taylor, Donnie Blizzard, Teddy Cline, family and friends.
