Tommy Joe “Grady” Adkins, age 62 of Grundy, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at his home.

Born October 21, 1959, at Richlands, Virginia, he was the son of the late Walton
Adkins and Ruth Lockhart Adkins. He was a retired surface miner. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kentucky Wildcats. He loved running chains on Friday nights for the Hurley football team. His favorite thing to do was spending time with his grandchildren, Jensen, Brayleigh, and Brayden. He was a loving father, son, grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Adkins.

Joshua Stiltner, Brayleigh Davis, and Brayden Davis.

In accordance with Tommy Joe’s wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial
service has been scheduled for Thursday, April 7, 2022, 7:00 P.M. at the Virginia
Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Stacy officiating.

The family will receive friends at 6:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home.
