Obituary for Wilburn Dave Stacy
Wilburn Dave Stacy, age 80 of Hurley, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, Virginia, following a brief illness.
Born July 2, 1942, in Hurley, Virginia, he was the son of the late Auldie Stacy and Polly Charles Stacy. He was a retired coal miner of 30 years.
Wilburn was a loving husband, grandfather, and brother. He loved spending time with his family and helping people.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Gwen Lester; and two brothers, Lindsey and Dallas Stacy; stepson, Brian Lee Ward.

Funeral services for Wilburn Dave Stacy will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia, with Paul Rife and Eugene Whited officiating. Burial will follow in the Charles Cemetery, Straight Fork Road, Hurley, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, where a service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Stacy, Leonard Stacy, Richard Stacy, Tony Stacy, Benny Stacy, James Spurlock, Tim Ward, and Curtis Osborne.
