Obituary for Wilma Arlene Rogers Keene

Wilma Arlene “Jack” Rogers Keene, age 72 of Grundy, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at her home.

Born October 28, 1950, in Hayesville, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James “Luke” Rogers and Dorothy “Dot” McCray Rogers.

Arlene was a member of the Crossview Church of Christ. She was an avid gardener, loved to sew, and work in her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, a host of friends, and her church family at Crossview Church of Christ.

Funeral services for Wilma Arlene Keene will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 11:00 A.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia, with Hobert Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the Lester Cemetery, Panther Ridge Road, Grundy, Virginia

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home, Grundy, Virginia, where a service will be held at 7:00 P.M.

Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Dillard, David Estep, Jason Keene, Oscar Dockery, Donald Pennington, James Pennington, Austin Keene, Kenny Wheeler, Ron Looney and Tristan Keene.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Darryl Davis, Travis Dockery, Dillard Mullins, Lukas Dotson, Bobby Daniels, Chris Coleman, Keith Keene, Tim Presley, and Keith Willis.

A special thanks to Dr. J. G. Patel and the third floor Nursing staff at the Buchanan General Hospital and Legacy Hospice of Richlands, Virginia.
