Obituary for June West Hurley

June West Hurley, age 81 of Vansant, Virginia passed away on
Thursday, March 15, 2018.

Born October 9, 1936 in Buchanan county, she was the daughter of the late
Earl West and Masie Blankenship West. She was a homemaker, and she also
cleaned houses and law offices. June was a member of the Vansant Church of Christ
and a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed spending time with family,
friends, neighbors, and attending plays.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband,
Ralph Hurley; brothers, Elbert West, Ken West, Eugene West, Virgil West;
a close niece, Beulah Gibbs.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

Betty Stacy and husband Curtis of Hurley, Virginia
Son
Ralph Hurley and wife Cindy of Jefferson City, Tennessee
Grandchildren
Candice Dull and husband Paul of Midlothian, Virginia
Hunter Hurley and Hannah Hurley of Jefferson City, Tennessee
Great Granddaughter
Madison Dull of Midlothian, Virginia
Brothers and Sisters
James West and Wife Judy of Glen Forks, Kentucky
Jerry West and wife Kim of Franklin, Tennessee
Roger West and wife Joan of Nashville, Tennessee
Bernice Hagerman of Mendota, Virginia
Joyce Hicks of Abingdon, Virginia
Peggy Smith and husband David of Orlando, Florida

James Blankenship of Chehalis, Washington
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for June Hurley will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018,
12 Noon at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia with
Mike Rife officiating, with burial to follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens,
Claypool Hill, Virginia.

The family will receive friends Monday evening 6 PM at the Virginia Funeral Home.
A service will be held at 7 PM.

Serving as Pallbearers will be family and friends,
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Wayne Childress, Tom Pruitt,
James Shortridge, George Childress, and Red Robertson.

Virginia Funeral Home of Grundy, Virginia is in charge of the arrangements.
